Anyone Running a Dingo With Harley Rake for Lawn Prep?

I’m getting into more small landscape jobs this season and trying to figure out the best setup for seedbed prep in tight yards.

Most of the properties I work on are narrow access so I’m using a Toro Dingo. I keep seeing people talk about running a dingo with harley rake, but I’ve never actually used one myself.

I’m mainly dealing with rough soil after construction, small rocks, old turf and trying to leave something smooth enough for seed without spending all day hand raking.

Is a harley rake for dingo actually worth it or does it struggle compared to full size machines?

Just trying to avoid renting the wrong attachment.

They work surprisingly well. Not as aggressive as full size obviously but way better than trying to finish grade with just a bucket.

I run a dingo harley rake on small residential jobs and honestly it’s one of the best attachments I rent. You just need to slow down compared to a bigger skid or it starts bouncing.

Only downside I noticed is if the ground is full of big roots or chunky rocks, the mini machine can get pushed around. In clean dirt it’s awesome though.

Sounds like it’s more about finishing than heavy cleanup which is actually what I need. Most jobs already have the bulk debris removed.

Going to try renting one this week.
