Hooks on mmM610 and M700 front

What were the 4 hooks on front of these bobcats for? carrying on back of trailer like a fork lift? Cannot find reference to them in manual I have on 700. Sorry no picture yet

Those front hooks were mainly for lifting and tie-down, not really for running it like a forklift. Guys used them to pick the machine with chains when loading onto a trailer or for service work. On some older Bobcats you’ll see people hook a bar or chains there to move things, but it wasn’t designed as a proper lift point for carrying loads out front.

We had an old M610 years back, same hooks on the front. Never used them for lifting loads like forks. Mostly used them to secure the machine on a trailer or to drag/pull it a bit if it got stuck. Some guys welded stuff off them, but that’s more backyard engineering than intended use.

Pretty sure those are factory lift points. Bobcat used to spec them so you could sling the machine safely, especially before common trailer setups we have now. The reason you don’t see much in the manual is they were more of a transport/handling feature than an attachment function. I’ve seen them used with chains to steady the machine while winching too.
