John Deere 320d starts fine but feels slow to respond first few minutes

Anyone notice their JD 320D feels a bit sluggish right after startup? After a few minutes it’s totally normal again.

Mine always feels heavy for the first few minutes, especially in colder weather. At first I thought something was wrong, but once everything warms up it’s smooth again. Now I just treat it as part of the routine and let it run a bit before starting real work.

I switched to Deere after running Bobcat for a long time and the first thing I noticed was how different the control response felt. Nothing wrong with it, just different timing and sensitivity. Once my hands adjusted I actually started liking it, but those first days were rough.

We used to start machines and immediately send them to work because everyone was in a hurry. Over time we noticed more complaints about sluggish response in the mornings. Mechanic suggested a short warmup routine and honestly it made a big difference. Machine felt smoother and operators stopped worrying about weird behavior at startup.
